Learning from Manufacturing Project" with Expo '70 Osaka/Kansai as an Opportunity

(hereinafter referred to as "UHEIM"), Kobe City, Kobe Board of Education, and Wakakusa Elementary School will conduct the "Learning from Manufacturing Project" to learn about UHEIM's manufacturing and AI-based food tech initiatives by utilizing field trips to the 2025 Japan International Expo (hereinafter referred to as "Osaka-Kansai Expo"). The "Learning from Manufacturing Project" will be implemented.
Project Summary
Through visiting classes at schools and field trips to the UHEIM stall at the Osaka Kansai Expo site, students will learn about the history of Kobe and sweets, local production for local consumption, and learn about the future of food, including food loss and the SDGs.
Target Schools and Schedule

- April 24 (Thursday) 13:30-14:15 (5th period) Visiting class (pre-study)
- May: Visited Expo '70 Osaka/Kansai as a field trip (observed demonstrations at the Future Cafeteria and food trucks)
- June onwards Visiting class (post-lesson)

The visiting class on April 24 will be open to the public.
If you wish to cover the event, please fax the application form to Wakakusa Elementary School by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21.
Please confirm with school officials before photographing or interviewing children, as some participants may have children who require special consideration.

UHEIM has opened a cafe "THEO'S CAFE by UHEIM" in the "EARTH TABLE ~Future Shokudo~" area at Expo 2005 Osaka-Kansai, featuring a baumkuchen AI craftsman "THEO". Based on the concept of "Sweets have the power to make the world peaceful, Peace by Piece," THEO, an AI craftsman who bakes baumkuchen unattended at the same level as artisans, will propose a future café where sweets provided by people and AI will bring smiles to the world through the Osaka/Kansai Expo.
(Reference) Business collaboration agreement with Uheim
On February 27, 2023, Kobe City and UHEIM concluded a business collaboration agreement regarding industrial promotion through the promotion of the attractiveness of sweets and human resource development through sweets.
